Worked alongside Mette between July 2021 and June 2022 on a D365 F&O project.
March 8th 2024
I had the absolute pleasure of working with Mette on a project that required a lot of attention to details along with being able to guide the client through an ERP implementation that needed experienced consultants. Mette demonstrated the depth and breadth of financial knowledge that was required, to assist with this implementation. During the course of the implementation, Mette and I tackled some of the newest ERP features, to ensure that the client utilized the full extent of the ERP and were able to see their ROI on it. The financial experience Mette has amassed over the years, certainly helped the client feel at ease knowing that all facets of the implementation were well covered. She is very knowledgeable of all the basic financial modules in D365 F&O along with strong in-depth knowledge in Cost Accounting/Management, Tax ISV’s (Avalara), Project Management & Accounting, Consolidations, Budgeting, etc.
During my experience as an ERP consultant, I have always found that there are very few consultants that truly bring value driven methodology and have the high standards to ensure an extremely successful implementation; Mette is one of the few colleagues I’ve had the opportunity to work with that exceeds that. As such, I’ve kept in touch with Mette over the years as I respect her knowledge and know that she upholds high standards & work ethic that is uncommon.
Recommendation 2:
Written by Finance, Sr. Manager - Client:
Mette was our Senior D365 F&O Functional Lead between May 2022 and Dec 2023.

Dear Recipient:
It is with great pleasure and a debt of gratitude I endorse Mette for the C2C consulting role she seeks. As a bit of background, ( * company name * ) was founded in 2018 providing software and hardware to militaries in the USA, UK, Australia enabling service members to utilize “one pane of glass” to operate dispirit land and air robotic systems. At the time we engaged Mette we had achieved four consecutive years of 100%+ revenue growth and had become a target of acquisition. I give this background to enable your understanding of the complexities we invited Mette to undertake: a startup, defense contracting, multiple revenue standards, utilizing Xero with the desire to transition to a full ERP adding credibility to potential acquirers.
Mette’s thoughtful approach and flexibility when tackling each objective is what ultimately led to our successful transition. At one point we were engaged with five consultants for our transition, we quickly pared that down to utilizing Mette as our go-to “get it done and get it done now” resource. Mette’s versatile skill set allowed us to cut through complex needs: multiple ERP environments, many financial statement set up requests, GL reboot, technical settings, and overall business insight. Entering the engagement I expected a tech savvy, checklist focused business partner. With Mette we gained a seasoned financial professional with great intuition and people skills who enabled our staff of three to continue undertaking the day-to-day duties of a rapidly growing company while being set up for success in the future. ( * company name * ) owes a part of our success (we were acquired in 2023 for $120M USD) to Mette’s attentiveness, expertise, and find-a-way mentality. I tend to be a skeptic and have been a part of ERP transitions in which there was over-promising, over-spending, and under-delivering. Mette provided a paradigm shift in which ( * company name * ) walked away knowing we received the best value possible for our engagement.
One final note which is important for me to add, I now view Mette as a friend. With all of the hours needed to complete an ERP transition, I could not have done it without developing candor with a person I respect and enjoy. I do hope you will ultimately decide to bring Mette on and enjoy the positive results which are sure to come. I am available any time if you would like to further discuss the value Mette brings to the table.
Sincerely,
Finance, Sr. Manager

Mette was our Senior D365 F&O Functional Lead between October 2021 and April 2022.
March 24th 2024
It was a privilege to collaborate with Mette on a significant D365 conversion project. Mette's deep understanding of both finance and the D365 environment proved invaluable throughout our engagement.
From the outset, Mette impressed with her structured approach to project management, ensuring that deadlines were met, and tasks were completed. Her meticulous planning, coupled with a clear agenda and prepared demonstrations for each meeting, facilitated smooth progress and instilled confidence.
One of Mette's standout qualities is her ability to communicate complex concepts in a language familiar to those with a background in Finance and Accounting. Her clear explanations made it easy for our team to address questions and resolve issues related to the software.
I highly recommend Mette, and I am hopeful that our paths will cross again!

Mette helped our clients between 2021 and 2024.

To Whom it May Concern:
My name is ( * CEO’s name * ), and I am currently the CEO of ( * company name * ). I have been with ( * company name * ) for over 20 years.
I am writing this letter of recommendation to share some highlights of Mette’s time at ( * company name * ). Mette was an ( * company name * ) team member from 2021 to 2024.
I would like to start by saying that I did not work alongside Mette during her time at ( * company name * ). She was part of the F&O team in her role as a D365FO Consultant.
Mette is extremely goal focused and worked on accomplishing all of the goals she had either set for her or had been asked of her by the organization. We have some pretty aggressive targets as an organization and her desire to meet those goals was noticed not only by her team members but also by others at ( * company name * ).
A critical way for ( * company name * ) to grow our customer base is by sharing our experiences through the creation of blog articles. It is a combination of direct and indirect marketing and we take it very seriously and ask for contributions from team members. Mette was a contributor to those articles highlighted by the fact that one of those articles was featured in MSDynamicsWorld, a widely read publication in our space.
She was very well respected by colleagues and clients. On various occasions staff would try to find opportunities to work with Mette based on her ability to think outside the box and the importance she placed on customer service and customer satisfaction.
Mette always had a great work ethic and positive attitude. Interacting and working with customers to solve their issues is her key strength.
Sincerely,
( * CEO’s name * )

Mette's November 2023 article (blog) got picked up by MSDynamicsWorld, which is a great achievement!
Mette wrote the "How to use asset leasing in D365FO" blog on behalf of the Microsoft Gold Partner.
The achievement was praised by the Marketing department of the Microsoft Gold Partner.
Quote from MSDynamicsWorld: "The author writing the blog, noted that the asset leasing module in D365FO lets members of an organization’s finance team create lease contracts containing fair value, implicit rate, lease terms, and all the other pertinent information for assets.
The author pointed out that the system requires you to follow the steps in a specific order for the functionality to work. In the blog post, the author offered detailed instructions, written from the perspective of the lessee renting a car. She stated that although a lessor can use this functionality, it could be more difficult."

Manual Contributor
I wrote at least 50+ manuals between 2021 - 2024 for said Microsoft Gold Partner.
Below, a few examples of D365 F&O manuals, where I made the impossible possible:
► Consolidation manual (8 pages):
There are different ways to work with the consolidation module. I found creating a new legal entity to be the best option and the easiest for the clients to understand. The manual explains the process, all the critical points from the setup to the posting of the journals including the deletion of the journal, the creation of a new journal and the reasoning behind deletion.
► Credit Cards - Using “Open lines in excel” to update your dates and voucher numbers (4 pages):
As bank statements are often 500+ lines, “Open lines in excel” is used. Copying statements from banks will show all the different dates, but the transfer from excel to the journal will change the dates to one date as the journal only has one voucher number and therefore cannot have different dates.
It cannot be different dates unless it has different voucher numbers. D365 F&O cannot do this (officially confirmed by Microsoft!), so I came up with a solution to make this happen with only a few extra steps. This manual shows how to overwrite the system’s functionality.
► Vendor payments connected directly to the bank (12 pages):
Often when working with banks, electronic reporting has to be used. There are some banks in the US which will designate a person, who will help daily with the setup. I worked with SVB for 4 days and everything was correct (usually it takes months!). The manual shows the client how to test failed invoices on their online banking, as it will show if it is a formatting issues or a posting issue and how to post the invoice afterwards. At the same time, the information about why it failed, is very easy to understand and correct.
► BOM training material (100+ pages):
BOM training material was created with two purposes:
1) to understand bundle vs non-bundle and calculation of revenue recognition and
2) as training material.
Due to lack of understanding BOM in the PIM module and the assignment of released components to the BOM, an extensive manual was created to explain all the fields on a product creation including the "engineer tab"||"BOM version" for the setup of bundle components and also how the fields were connected to the other modules. It was also explained how to set up the components for revenue recognition including how to calculate and test revenue recognition.
The manual explained how to use BOM on daily basis with daily invoices.
