I have had the pleasure working together with Mette when we needed a CFO consultant to help us out with financial issues.
Mette is highly self-propelled and quickly understood our situation.
Together with our IT-director she managed to set up a procedure how to get our BOM corrected in the system (one of our major issues) and Mette went through the chart of account, recommending corrections to follow US GAAP, but also to make it easier for the company to calculate waste of our products.
Mette went through the entire supply chain and with her likable approach she quickly figured out, that the BOM was not our biggest problem – it was only a smaller part of a larger problem.
The two biggest issues were communication between QC and Inventory and a wasteful production.
Mette managed to set up a team, an employee from QC and the inventory manager to follow the production for 20 hours (from cradle to grave) for a specific lot which was randomly chosen to see what caused the wasteful production.
Mette ensured the counters were correct. A manual calculation error was found. Within hours, Mette made a new procedure, so QC should go through the calculation but instead of having different papers delivered to QC and the inventory manager, she agreed with them to use the same papers through the whole process.
After the complete test was done, Mette prepared an amazing report with the test results explained in details, the people attended, problems found and recommendations on how to proceed – eliminating waste.
The whole test and report was made within a week.
Mette then started to calculate the waste on a production batch which we could use to calculate the total cost on a final lot.
Together with QC Mette prepared schedules which should be filled out by the production operators and used by QC until we were able to use a scanned method.
Mette made a schedule including a manual on how to continue using it in order for us to follow the production lots.
We were so happy we had Mette working for us as a consultant. She is amazing, very patience and a great performer. She quickly solves problems with a smile and she sets up procedures to stop or limit the problems from occurring again.
Mette’s knowledge is fantastic and very beneficial for the people around her. She thinks outside the box and she attacks the problems differently than other CFO consultants we have had in the past and Mette always finds the sources creating the problems.
Mette is bossy but in a very likable manner, because she makes things happen without stepping on anyone’s toes.
